Welcome to Thomas Jefferson Elementary

At TJES, we strive to put "children first," and in doing so try to help students become confident and independent, creative, inquisitive, healthy, thoughtful and generous, trustworthy, and high achieving. We can do this best when the school staff and families work closely together to meet individual student needs. In this student handbook, we provide some details about the school that will give you information about school policies, procedures, and expectations. These basic guidelines help us unite in the shared task of teaching each child well and providing for his or her safety and well being.

The vision of Thomas Jefferson Elementary is to give children the opportunity to reach their potential and be successful life-long learners.

Our mission, in partnership with our families and community, is to educate our children in a way that encourages independence, responsibility and good citizenship in a safe, supportive environment.

2023 TJES Glow Dance

We are so excited about our upcoming Valentine's Glow Dance on Wednesday, February 15th from 1pm - 2pm. We are partnering with Boosters to make this an unforgettable event for our students! Throughout the week before, students will be raising money to go towards updating our playgrounds and outdoor spaces at TJES. Whether you fundraise or not, each student will be able to earn prizes throughout the week, participate in all of the character activities, and join us for the Glow Dance on the 15th. We will also be giving each student a shirt to wear for the dance to help them "glow" with our black lights. Be sure to follow our Facebook page and keep an eye on your email for reminders and updates over the upcoming weeks! If you know any local businesses, we are looking for sponsors.
