Mrs. O'Neill has spent her entire 22-year career in education with Bedford County Schools as a Spanish teacher and Assistant Principal at Liberty High School, and an Assistant Principal at Forest Middle School, Bedford Connects, and most recently, Liberty Middle School. Mrs. O'Neill graduated Summa Cum Laude while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from Lynchburg College in 2003. She earned her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lynchburg College in 2010. In 2013, Mrs. O'Neill was named Liberty High School Teacher of the Year and went on that year to become one of the first-ever finalists for Bedford County Teacher of the Year. Mrs. O'Neill strives for academic excellence, is known for her ability to build an exceptional climate and culture, and for fostering positive relationships among all community stakeholders. She is extremely excited to return home to the Forest zone to serve the faculty, staff, students, and parents of Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. Mrs. O'Neill and her husband, Sergio, live in Lynchburg with their two sons, Marcelo and Mariano. They spend as much time as they can traveling abroad in order to see family and love being outdoors enjoying nature. Mrs. O'Neill loves to cook for family and friends, garden, and travel. It is her pleasure to help and serve children and families in Bedford County Public Schools.
