Greetings Patriot Families,
It is with great excitement that I join the Thomas Jefferson Elementary School team as Principal. As a former BCPS student, I attended New London Academy, Forest Middle School, and am a graduate of Jefferson Forest High School. My husband, Trey, and I have six children: Tristen (JF graduate, 2014), Sierra (JF graduate, 2021), Jessa (JF graduate, 2023), Lilianna (JF student), Isabella (JF student), and Kaden (FMS student).
I am thrilled to be back in Bedford County Public Schools serving the students and families within our community. I am a dedicated educator with twenty-three years of services to students in public education. After graduating from Liberty University, I started my teaching career at Appomattox Primary instructing kindergarten and first grade students. After four years, I transitioned to Otter River Elementary for nine years where I had the pleasure of teaching students in first and third grades. As an administrator for the past ten years, I have supported students and families at Heritage Elementary as Assistant Principal and most recently, I had the pleasure of serving students and families at Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School for Innovation and Robert S. Payne Elementary School.
I am excited to bring my skills as an educational leader to Thomas Jefferson Elementary School and am eager to work alongside dedicated teachers and staff as we enrich the lives of the students at Thomas Jefferson. I am committed to partnering with you to promote your child’s success. I look forward to working with you this year.
